What's the difference between V1 and V2 micro:bits?
The V2 micro:bit has a built-in microphone and speaker to allow sound-sensing and sound-making without the need to attach another device. It also introduces capacitive touch sensing, a power-saving mode and more computing power for the classroom.

How can I power the micro:bit?
The micro:bit can be powered using a USB cable connected to a computer or portable power source. Alternatively, you can use a 2x AAA battery pack for wireless, portable use.

Is the V2 micro:bit compatible with the original micro:bit accessories and shield?
V2 maintains compatibility with most existing micro:bit accessories, shields, and kits, including those used with the original model. However, some features, like audio capabilities, may require accessories designed specifically for the V2.
However, please be aware that some micro:bit accessories, like the Climate Action Kit, require a V2 micro:bit to work because of new advanced features.
What programming languages can be used with the micro:bit?
You can program the micro:bit using languages such as MakeCode (a block-based editor), Python, and JavaScript. The MakeCode editor offers an easy entry point for beginners, while Python allows for more advanced coding projects as users gain experience.
